The Yange Kep Bidi, (translation Wetland Trail) lies on Whadjuk Noongar land and meanders around various wetlands located between Claremont and Galup - Lake Monger. At 21km it covers a considerable distance and is a full days walk end to end however you can easily break it into shorter sections and complete loops back to your starting point. Yange Kep Bidi links with the heritage of intersecting or overlapping trails including the Claremont Meanders - Cobblers and Convicts

Herdsman Lake is a wonderful trail for a walk or a cycle but at 7km it is perhaps a bit long for little legs. Why not try the shorter loop around picturesque Floreat Lakes from Popeye Lake either on foot or by bike? The best place to start this trail is the Herdsman Lake Regional Car Park off Jon Sanders Drive. The lake here is named Popeye Lake and there is a small dated playground here. Another of Perth's most popular walks is the 3.5km dog friendly (on lead) circuit around Lake Monger (Galup). It is an easy flat walk or ride suitable for prams and wheelchairs or for the kids to ride bikes or scooters. I even saw somebody rollerblading around! It will take you around 45 minutes to an hour. Lake Claremont is a beautiful wetland which is a nesting site for turtles, swans and other waterbirds. You can walk or cycle around the lake's 2.5 km flat dual use path. The well shaded path around the lake takes around 45 minutes to walk but with a bird hide, three playgrounds, a cafe and lots of wide open green spaces you could easily make a day of it!
