Garvey Park - Ascot - Swan River Ramble
We finally completed the last section of the Swan River Ramble. Garvey Park is the start, or end point, for this fabulous trail which follows both banks of the Swan River (Derbarl Yerrigan) upstream of Windan Bridge. This trail is ideal for walking (in sections) as there is lots to see including stunning river scenery. It is also ideal for a bike ride as the trail covers almost 25km in total and cycling will allow you to cover more distance while still allowing you to stop at

Matilda Bay Discovery Trail and Swan River foreshore
It was an absolutely stunning Autumn day for this walk. After tackling the Kokoda Track down the Eliza Scarp from King's Park we crossed Mount's Bay Road (not as difficult as we thought it would be) to walk along the shared bike path.... Note the bikes come up behind you silent and fast but most of the path has grass to one side which means you can safely walk and stop to take photos....oh so many photos of this beautiful stretch of water!
