Some time ago we walked the Jenna Biddi Yorga along Blackwall Reach from Point Walter to Bicton Baths continuing on along the river to Wauhop Road at Jerrat Drive. We finally managed to complete this section of the river by walking from The Left Bank Cafe on Riverside Road in East Fremantle back to Wauhop Road. On a weekend late in November the Rotary Jacaranda Festival Weekend is on in Applecross, celebrating the magnificent flowering Jacaranda trees with a fabulous market. This is one of my favourite places to hike. Normally we go in winter when the river is full and you can hear the water rushing along as you hike Syd's Rapid Trail. This time we went in Autumn and it was a different experience. The river is still very pretty even though the water was so much lower than previous visits.
