River Bank Reserve - South Guildford
We thought we'd check out Homestead Park and Spirit Parks as we were driving through South Guildford but our quick get out of the car let's have a look turned into a long and lovely walk along the banks of the Helena River. Markets and Meadows - Guildford
Fishmarket Reserve and Kings Meadow Reserve are on the banks of the Swan River in Guildford. We set out to walk a loop following the Swan River from Fishmarket Reserve to Moulton's Landing before returning along the Helena and Swan Rivers via Kings Meadow. We parked at Fishmarket Reserve, a natural reserve dotted with mature trees and winding pathways. Guildford Heritage Walking Trails
Guildford was established during the founding of the Swan River Colony in 1829 and today is one of only three towns in Perth on the National Trust register. Established on what is virtually an island encircled by the Swan and Helena Rivers, Guildford is ideally suited to explore on foot. Much of Guildford’s original town plan, including the central church square (now known as Stirling Square), remains largely intact allowing a rare glimpse into early colonial settlement.
