It is an all abilities playground with barbecue and picnic facilities, water fountains, toilets and a bike repair station. Juniper Reserve is nestled between Davallia Primary School and the back of Carine Glades Shopping Centre in Duncraig. It is a delightful park surrounded by mature shady trees. Starting at Mindeerup Piazza at Mends Street Jetty with it's Giant Numbat and Frilled Neck Lizard this walk takes you down to Coode Street Jetty and back exploring the Scented Garden on the way. Some time ago we walked the Jenna Biddi Yorga along Blackwall Reach from Point Walter to Bicton Baths continuing on along the river to Wauhop Road at Jerrat Drive. These man-made lakes are tucked away behind the old brickworks opposite the Maylands Peninsula Golf Course. The lakes were constructed in the 1990's from the old clay pits used by Maylands Brickworks during it's operation between 1927 and 1984. There is a paved pathway which follows the edge of the lakes with a few exceptions where the absolute lakefront properties mean you need to detour through the residential streets. The shared use paths are flat and easy to navigate.
